As Ladbrokes continues to grow we are seeking a PR OFFICER to join the Public Relations team based at our Head Office. Reporting to the Head of Consumer PR, your role will include a range of duties such as:

" Developing and delivering a daily flow of press releases across sporting, political and novelty markets to key media targets and contacts.
" Promoting and generating PR of exclusive Ladbrokes promotions and initiatives.
" Supporting the Head of Consumer PR with agency ideas and projects
" Appearing frequently in the press, on TV, radio and online on all betting stories and news opportunities that celebrate the Ladbrokes brand by confidently and consistently targeting media.

The PR OFFICER should have proven experience of working in fast-paced, challenging environments and be prepared to work long hours, frequently over weekends when our business is at its most demanding. Ultimately you will be a news hound. You will have a strong understanding of the traditional media environment and an appetite for new media opportunities in PR. Youll relish the opportunity of responding quickly to a changing news agenda. You will be just as comfortable working in a traditional office environment as you will on the road at key consumer events, be confident talking to media and youll have a strong set of IT skills. Youll be able to identify, design and deliver project-based PR campaigns, working alongside colleagues and our Consumer PR agency.

A keen interest and broad knowledge of sport together with an understanding of how betting can enhance the customers sporting journey is essential. Previous experience within the betting industry, in the newspaper industry or agency experience would be advantageous but not essential.
