Position Overview

Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to manage all the daily customer facing output from the studio to the whole of the Ladbrokes betting shop estate including managing the daily preparation and production of the Ladbrokes Live and Ladbrokes Xtra audio output, in accordance to the studio standards required by the Programme Manager and Broadcast Manager. You will also manage the live audio output and freelance broadcasters so that the Ladbrokes service is the best audio service on the High Street.
Position Description

Key Responsibilities

Devise and manage the running order, screen plans and planning minutes in accordance with plans set out by the Broadcast Strategy, the Planning Meeting and the Broadcast Manager. Ensure the plans are then distributed and briefed to teams so that the key personnel in the company can clearly identify the studios aims and priorities every day.

Direct the output of Ladbrokes Live, instructing the Programme Supervisors, Screen Assigners, Broadcasters and Caption Writers as appropriate to ensure the output is accurate, coordinated, effective and in accordance with the aims of the days planning.

Identify and report technical problems or unexpected events to relevant teams and ensure that back up plans are in place to cause minimal impact on the business.

Create ear-catching promotional material for output on Ladbrokes Live to promote Ladbrokes products.

Provide regular feedback on the performances of the broadcasting team and those involved in the live output to the Programme Manager so that they can continually improve the quality of broadcast team.

Candidate Requirements

Key Experience

Good people management experience which is necessary to deliver improved staff and broadcaster output

Idealy will be able to demonstrate an understanding of Ladbrokes shops and their environment

Work Experience in a customer facing or remote customer service environment

Very strong communication skills  verbal and written - able to communicate appropriately at any level within the organisation and with the public.

Educated to degree level or equivalent.ยท

Good knowledge of sports and betting.

An ability to plan and organise promotional activities will be advantageous, as will any marketing experience.

An operational understanding of audio editing software would be extremely useful

Experience in producing is preferable but not essential

Full understanding of how a betting office works, and ideally first hand experience of managing one.

Intuitive and have the ablility to make quick decisions in a pressurised environment.
