
FULL TIME WELFARE OFFICER
South West England & South Wales
Salary: from £23,632 - £31,098
Our team of dedicated Welfare Officers, working throughout the country, provide a comprehensive, professional occupational welfare service caring for those working in, or retired from the Thoroughbred horseracing and breeding industry who are in need.
We seek a Welfare Officer to work alongside the existing Welfare Officer in post. The post holder will be required to provide advice and information, emotional and practical support, arrange financial assistance, and act as an advocate where necessary. The successful applicant will ideally have experience in welfare work and an interest in racing. However full training will be provided for candidates who can demonstrate: the ability to make thorough assessment through interview; understand the concept of confidentiality and risk assessment; good written and oral communication and a willingness to learn.
The successful candidate will also own a vehicle and be prepared to use it on the Charitys business, for which mileage expenses will be paid. Due to the area to be covered extensive travel should be expected. This post is subject to an enhanced CRB check.
