Job Description

Racing Post is a growing multimedia business.  The company publishes a daily national newspaper and a suite of digital products, including award-winning mobile and iPad apps as well as a website,, which include an online subscription service.  It also has an expanding syndication operation plus two weekly newspapers and a books division.

The business employs approximately 300 permanent staff and also hires freelancers and contractors.

A fabulous opportunity has arisen to lead the Racing Post bloodstock team.  The successful candidate will have responsibility for the commercial success of the bloodstock operation. They will devise and implement a strategy for growing the business, overseeing product development to ensure that Racing Post continues to meet the needs of its customers.

The role is based primarily in London, but international travel will be required in order to maintain regular contact with key stakeholders in the industry.  A highly attractive remuneration package will be offered.

We are looking for the following attributes and experience:

  • An entrepreneur with a proven record of commercial success.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills, together with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A track record in growing revenues (ideally by developing new products and services).
  • A keen interest in, and understanding of, bloodstock.
  • The ability to contribute to the success of Racing Post as a member of its senior management team.
