Job Description

About us

William Hill make a huge investment in everyone, offering great career development opportunities. Our people are at the heart of everything we do and we offer a fast-paced environment where we have fun, celebrate success and give you all the tools you’ll need to be your best self. It’s not just our colleagues we look after – we’ve got a responsibility to our customers too and we work hard on our ambition that nobody is harmed by gambling. William Hill is a well-respected, trusted gaming, and sports betting provider throughout the UK with 2,400 shops in the UK.

Your role in the team

Our high availability, high transactional websites and apps are used by customers all over the world, so our cyber security is an absolute top priority. Here, you'll onboard a range of products and applications into our new identity and access management solution (IDAM) Sailpoint. You’ll be part of a team that develop and maintain our security platforms to make sure we have the necessary security in place to identify and stop security incidents. You’ll help build our global security operations technical stack, working with Security Incident Response teams and End User Computing to strengthen our first line of defence.

We're embracing AWS at scale, and our Information Security team is one of the first areas within William Hill to migrate to public cloud. And there's more good news - we're expanding our operations into the USA, so there are lots of new InfoSec challenges, and we're learning every day.

 Skills needed

We're looking for an expert in security platform engineering as well as information security concepts and technologies. In particular, you need to have practical experience with IDAM (ideally Sailpoint)  and f5 application firewalls, ideally from a customer facing e-commerce / digital / online business.  You’ll have an analytical mind and great problem solving skills. You're familiar with on-boarding new applications in to an IDAM solution and you're comfortable working in a Windows/Linux environment. Experience in AWS / public cloud, Terraform or Ansible would be beneficial too.

What we offer

We have a newly refurbished office space in a vibrant part of Leeds City Centre – right in the middle of the creative heart of the UK. Leeds itself is a buzzy, busy place to work and live - a hub for digital and gaming companies with an active tech community. On top of a good salary and package, our benefits include pension, healthcare, bonus opportunities – and a cycle to work scheme (ideal for burning off all the pizza we eat.) You’ll join a team who keep evolving with technology and love what they do.
