Trainee Camera Operator/HGV, Raynes Park, SW London, £25k start, rising quickly with experience
As a qualified licenced HGV driver and horse racing enthusiast, you will have primary responsibility for the safe driving of our Outside Broadcast (OB) vehicles. Additionally, you will be trained to operate race coverage cameras and in our OB operations including the safe rigging, operation and de-rigging of cameras along with hoist vehicles and other equipment. Requires travel and working evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.
Photofinish Trainee, Raynes Park, SW London and York, £25k start
Photofinish Trainees are trained to set up, rig and deliver the photofinish integrity service on race day providing high quality images to the judges to allow correct determination of the race result. With good colour vision, attention to detail and high levels of concentration, you should have a good understanding of photography and lenses. Requires travel and working evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays. Driving licence essential; HGV desirable.
Trainee OB Engineer, North, Midlands and South, £22k start
You should have good technical knowledge with qualifications in broadcast engineering or electronic engineering and some experience of the OB environment is desirable. With strong IT and communication skills, you must love solving technical problems and be able to work in a high-pressure environment. Requires travel and working evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays. Driving licence essential and we also offer training for an HGV licence.
Public Address (PA) Trainee Engineer, £22k start
Trainee PA Engineers are trained to cover the full provision and maintenance of Public Address (PA) systems at racecourses. You will learn to set up, rig and deliver a high-quality PA service: providing on-course radio communication facilities, recording on-course messages and making PA announcements. Educated in sound engineering with knowledge of PA audio and ancillary systems, you should have strong vocal communication skills and good horse racing knowledge. Requires travel and working evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays. Driving licence essential.
OB Project Engineer, Raynes Park, SW London, c£35k
You will work as part of the project engineering team and be responsible for designing and installing broadcast systems for both internal and external projects. You will run broadcast projects from initial concept through to delivery, ensuring all documentation is up to date at all times, and liaise with customers. You must have OB experience and be able to act as an extra engineer at busy periods in the OB schedule requiring some weekend work. Driving licence essential.
