Racing Editor (Corporate)               

The Public Affairs Department provides a full range of proactive communications functions to the Club including the formulation of communication strategy, issue management, racing and non-racing media relations; racing, betting, charity information and overall publicity; as well as organisation of corporate PR programmes and projects. 

The Job

You will:

  • develop the racing content of the Club’s Annual Report and other corporate publications
  • develop racing-related speeches and other communications materials for Chairman and senior management
  • collaborate with other teams and in the development of positon papers and other corporate communications materials on racing subjects
  • collaborate with other teams in the development of presentation materials for CEO and other Club representatives
  • draft racing press releases, racing features stories and other media communications materials as required
  • provide onsite communications support at Conghua Racecourse and industry conferences as required

About You

You should have:

  • at least a bachelor degree in Journalism, Communications, or other relevant disciplines
  • minimum of 10 years’ solid work experience in the development of corporate communication materials
  • good understanding of the political sensitivities and public sentiment
  • knowledge of corporate and business thinking and practices
  • interest and knowledge of horse racing
  • relevant experience in team leadership and collaboration
  • experience in social media communication and publicity

Terms of Employment:

The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualification and experience.  A contract employment will be offered to the successful candidate. Contract renewal will be subject to mutual agreement between the Club and the individual.
