Burn is new Lambourn man

07 April 2015

JAMES BURN today takes up his new role as the Racing Post’s Lambourn area correspondent following the retirement of Rodney Masters after 47 years in journalism.
Masters, one of the few to complete the double of being voted Journalist of the Year (in 1997) and winning the national newspaper naps table (for the 2011 Flat season), has worked for the Racing Post since 1993.
Masters will continue to live in Lambourn, where he will train a point-to-pointer. “I fear it will expose how little I have picked up from trainers over my 27 years in Lambourn,” he said.
