Hills finance director Cooper leaving position

22 June 2015

William Hill will start searching for a new finance director, with current incumbent Neil Cooper leaving for a new job in the building sector.

Cooper is to join Barratt Developments PLC as their chief financial officer, and although his William Hill contract has 12 months to run his departure date will be announced in due course.

Commenting on Cooper's decision to leave, chief executive James Henderson said: "Neil has been a key part of our management team since May 2010. During that time, he has built a strong finance and investor relations team and supported the group's digital and international diversification. He leaves us in excellent financial health."

Cooper addded: "I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at William Hill over the last five years and am proud of the significant progress that we have made in cementing our UK leadership position and in expanding into Australia and the US."
