Hills' Kristof Fahy to join Telegraph Media Group

19 March 2015

WILLIAM HILL'S chief marketing officer Kristof Fahy, a key figure in the company's success in the digital sphere, will join the Daily Telegraph's owners next month.

Fahy, who signalled he was leaving Hills after five years with the bookmaker at the end of 2014, has taken the top marketing role at Telegraph Media Group where he will report to chief executive Murdoch MacLennan.

Fahy joined William Hill in January 2010 from Yahoo where he had been vice-president of international marketing. He had previously held roles at Orange and been brand marketing director at Blackberry.

Hills said that some of Fahy's responsibilities would be taken on by other members of the team while the firm was close to naming a new brand director.

PR director Kate Miller said: "We boast a strong and diverse team of marketing talent, and Kristof's departure has allowed us to blend some of his responsibilities into existing internal roles.

"In addition, we are also nearing the final stages of appointing a brand director who will have a global focus across the William Hill group."
