Hills offer accelerator boost for eight tech start-ups

William Hill have teamed up with technology entrepreneur Stuart Marks’s investment fund L Marks to offer up to eight tech start-ups a place on a 12-week accelerator programme. 

Each start - up will be supported with an initial investment of £25,000 and office space for the duration of the programme, running from September to December, in either William Hill’s digital innovation hub WH Labs in Shore ditch, east London, or in the firm’s Tel Aviv office.Applications can be made on williamhilllabs.com and opened on June 24 to start-ups at any stage of development with six different entry categories.

Crispin Nieboer, director of corporate development and innovation in Hills’s Shore ditch office, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for start-ups to access funding, office space and mentoring to refine their products.“We've targeted this accelerator to help start-ups focus on the areas our customers will enjoy the most.

“The selected businesses will be able to rapidly develop their ideas, supported by a team of William Hill leaders and external mentors.“At the end of the programme,we’re looking to award the winning start-up a contract to trial their solution with William Hill and up to £150,000 in further investment.”
