Hurley gets a taste for the high life

19 December 2014

ADAM HURLEY thoroughly enjoyed the visit of Channel 4’s Morning Line cameras to his Ladbrokes shop in Cheltenham, followed by his appearance on Saturday’s show when he was interviewed by Tanya Stevenson – one of the judges who last month crowned him the new Racing Post/ SIS Manager of the Year.

Stevenson said after racing: “Adam is a star, very cool and able to answer any question with a measured approach appealing to all who watch”
Hurley commented: “It all came over as overwhelmingly positive, the punters enjoyed it, and I got a day racing on a busy Saturday”

He brought his dad Roger along in the morning and they joined the Morning Line team for breakfast.
“He loved that, talking to the likes of Jim McGrath – they are all so down to earth,” added Hurley, who was then entertained by Ladbrokes in their Cheltenham box.

“My family later joined us and were delighted to meet Colin Brown, Desert Orchid’s jockey – who helps with hospitality and also background tours.”
Hurley, along with a dozen of his team, will be at Ascot on Friday as guests of SIS and he will return with Ladbrokes for the Saturday meeting. “I could get used to this,” he added.

Hurley will be providing a live Racing Post blog from all three days of the Ice show at London’s ExCel. (February 3-5). See for more details of the show.
