Jockey Club raids Old Trafford for new recruit

WHILE transfer speculation at Manchester united has surrounded Wayne Rooney in recent weeks, behind the scenes Jockey Club Racecourses has swooped to sign a member of the back-up team at the Premier League championselect, writes Graham Green.
Nadine Mansfield, who has been venue marketing manager at Old Trafford, takes up her job today as north-west regional head of marketing, with responsibility for Aintree, Haydock and Carlisle. Based at Haydock, Mansfield will oversee JCR’s marketing strategy in the region, while the role also includes building the conference and events business.

With 16 years’ commercial marketing and sales experience, Mansfield has also worked for Manchester airport, BSkyB, British Airways and Key 103 radio station. JCR north-west regional director John Baker said: “We’ve got big aspirations here in the north-west so it’s a great time for her to join, just before the running of the 2013 John Smith’s Grand National meeting. The marketing team covering Aintree, Haydock and Carlisle will benefit from her fantastic nowledge of the region and the experience she brings to the role.”
Mansfield said: “I’m delighted to be joining the Jockey Club team to take on this challenging new role at what is an exciting time of growth and development for the business.”
