04 September 2015

WILLIAM HILL and SIS have both revealed the identity of their new chief financial officers in the past week.

Philip Bowcock, who has a long track record in the leisure industry, most recently as CFO at cinema chain Cineworld Group, is to replace Neil Cooper at William Hill in November.

Hills' chief executive James Henderson said: "We are delighted to welcome Philip, whose extensive experience will be valuable as we continue to diversify and grow the business. Philip has played a lead role in strategic and financial changes at his previous companies and will bring both a strong strategic insight and rigorous financial acumen."

Bowcock's previous jobs have also included senior financial roles at Barratt Developments, Tesco and Hilton Group.

He said: "This is an exciting time to be joining William Hill with its strong digital and international strategies. I'm looking forward to working with James and the team, and contributing to William Hill's continued success."

Cooper is leaving Hills to take up the position of CFO for Barratt Developments.

Nigel Stocks joins SIS as CFO from Jatomi Fitness, a global health club business that employs more than 2,500 people across Eastern Europe and Asia.

SIS chief executive Gary Smith said: "Nigel's experience in contributing to strategic change and international expansion will be critical to SIS over the next two years as we bring new products and services to market.

"With cost pressures bearing down on the industry, we need to ensure SIS is in rude financial health in the coming months. I'm looking forward to the cont ribution Nigel will make to our business."

Stocks added: "The decision to join SIS was an easy one. They have great standing and experience in the industry and an exciting future with a product suite that suits the needs of the modern betting and gaming industry. It's an exciting time to be at SIS and I can't wait to get started."
