21 August 2012

PADDY POWER have announced the addition of two senior new recruits to their often-controversial marketing team, famous for headline-grabbing stunts including the erection of a giant Hollywood-style Paddy Power sign at Cheltenham and a string of banned adverts.

Danny Russell has joined at insight director, having previously held the post of marketing strategy director at TV giants BSkyB, while Robin Auld, whose cv includes roles with pizza delivery chain Domino's, has signed on as brand director.

Christian Woolfenden, Paddy Power's marketing director, said: "Danny and Robin are hugely experienced, innovative and creative individuals with outstanding track records in a variety of different companies, brands and sectors.

“These are exciting times for the Paddy Power brand as we enter new markets and continue to develop in our existing markets. We now have an exceptional and expanding team that is capable of building on the unique, entertaining and extremely effective campaigns that we have become known for."

Russell and Auld are the latest new recruits at Paddy Power, following on from last month's arrival of Mark Singleton as head of sportsbook marketing and Claire Davies as head of pr and media relations.
