RGT fully staffed after

16 January 2013

THE Responsible Gambling Trust has completed its recruitment drive with the appointment of Jane Rigbye as the charity’s assistant director of commissioning, writes Bill Barber.
Before her appointment Rigbye was head of youth services and  policy development at GamCare  and director of The Gambling Lab.
She also lectured on gambling studies at Salford Business School and on gambling behaviour at Nottingham Trent University in  the division of psychology.
RGT was formed in April 2012 through the merger of The GREaT Foundation and the Responsible Gambling Fund, and chairman Neil Goulden said the charity is now fully staffed.
He said: “Following Jane Rigbye’s appointment, I am delighted to advise that the trust has now achieved its full complement of staff.  “In the process, the trust has managed to reduce annual staffing costs by 36 per cent compared with the combined annual payroll total for The GREaT Foundation and Responsible Gambling Fund. This represents a saving of £193,000, which will now be spent on front-line services.
