12 April 2016

SKY BET are hoping a raft of internal promotions will provide encouragement to those joining the bookmaker’s expanding operation.

The firm is investing £2.5 million in 40 early-career programmes for graduates and they have hired 400 people since March last year, with 150 vacancies to fill.

The new appointments are Sarah Merrick as director of gaming trading performance, Steve Birch as commercial director, Paul McCormick as director of sports betting technology, Lee O’Donnell as director of IT infrastructure and security, and Rob Tuley as head of engineering in the Gaming Tribe.

Brand and HR director Rob Painter said: “These promotions are thoroughly deserved and represent the latest stage in Sky Betting & Gaming’s development as an independent company.

“It’s particularly pleasing to see people build their careers here and I hope this news will really motivate the many new members of the team we are taking on.”
